Description of Position: – Develop A.D.A.P.T & Pre-Vocational skill-based curriculum for adults with intellectual disabilities. Provide training, modeling, and monitoring of the curriculum implementation with the A.D.A.P.T and Pre-Vocational Trainers. Research and develop hands on training opportunities or job trials in the center and community settings for participants to develop skills within an integrated community setting. Ensure daily curriculum/lesson plans for ADAPT and Prevocational departments. Lessons plans should be detailed oriented and include directions and steps as well as ordering supplies for day programs. Monitor and track outcomes or effectiveness of curriculum; develop accommodations as needed as well as curriculum enhancement.
Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Education / Special Education, or related field.
Experience Required:
Curriculum writing experience or similar writing experience. Two years working with people with disabilities preferred.
